You will work closely with Partners and clients, support the development of our people, and help identify opportunities to expand client relationships.
In this leadership role, you will:
- Lead tax planning and compliance engagements for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
- Provide tax advisory and planning support, including preparing client correspondence and technical memoranda
- Identify tax planning opportunities and additional client service needs
- Research and advise on technical tax matters while staying current on legislation and case law
- Build strong client relationships and deliver practical, high-quality tax advice
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to team members
- Collaborate with Partners and colleagues across the firm on complex client matters
What You Bring
- Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program
- Strong Canadian tax knowledge with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex issues
- Excellent communication, client relationship, and leadership skills
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at varying levels of technical expertise
- Experience mentoring and developing team members
Bonus points if you bring experience in cross-border tax compliance, foreign reporting requirements including T106, T1134, and T1135 filings, foreign accrual property income and surplus pools, or an understanding of the Canada–U.S. Tax Treaty.
