Labcorp is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join our team at Eye, Suffolk.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37.5hrs
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing Method Development and analytical activities pertaining to the specific field of Physical Chemical Testing, to support the OECD 100 series testing and CIPAC testing in particular difficult to test chemicals
- Trains and directs less experienced laboratory personnel by in developing and implementing training plans
- Able to review work of others for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness and soundness of technical judgement
- Sets up and performs a variety of studies/analyses using appropriate instrumentation with routine and non-routine methods
- Ability to conduct most processes/tasks in support of broad portfolio of study types
- Critically review study documentation and suggest changes where appropriate
- Provides input and participates in study meetings (ie pre-initiation meeting)
- Reviews own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment
- Deliver results within agreed timeframes, whilst recognising changes in priorities.
- Ability to write, review and revise standard SOPs
- Ability to prepare results and presentations based on the work performed
- Participate in internal method development projects, as appropriate and act as the department process owner as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry
Additional Job Standards:
- Experienced in the use of standard laboratory equipment within Physical Chemistry testing eg: LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC-uv
- Specific expertise with OECD 100 series testing and CIPAC testing in particular difficult to test chemicals
- Provides technical advice and expertise on the conduct of particular techniques or phases of a study and interpretation of results for inclusion into study reports as well as training and mentoring operational staff in the conduct of these studies·
- Some experience of training team members·
- Proficiency with I.T and computer software packages such as Excel and proven numeracy skills·
- Organised and self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative·
- Strong knowledge of GLP

The Senior Technical Specialist will join our expanding Physico Chemical Testing team. In this role you will have a responsibility to conduct all work in compliance with appropriate company standards, GLP, GCP, GMP (where appropriate) and regulatory guidelines specified in the study plans, protocols, or work agreements governing the work in which they are involved.
