Senior/Staff Product Engineer, Applied AI

About the Role

Join the product engineering team at a Series A/B staffing technology company, building AI-powered tools for workforce operations. You will bring AI agents and frontier models into production workflows while shaping the backend platform that supports sourcing, vetting, matching, and placing workers.

What You'll Do

• Apply AI agents across product workflows and establish effective practices for AI-assisted development.

• Design and lead core systems, including real-time matching and automated vetting pipelines.

• Integrate agent capabilities with product services and operational systems.

• Guide platform architecture for future product needs while improving backend performance, reliability, and scale.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and work closely with engineering leadership on platform direction.

What We're Looking For

• Five to ten years of professional experience, including hands-on product engineering at a high-growth startup.

• A computer science or other technical degree from a top 25 university.

• Experience building and shipping product features across React and React Native interfaces integrated with backend services.

• Strong backend fundamentals, including API design, data modeling, query optimization, and distributed systems.

• Experience applying AI models or agents in production, with sound judgment about orchestration, retrieval, fine-tuning, and code.

• Willingness to work on-site when needed.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $200,000 to $300,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
