Achieve Something Great

As the Service Director, Specialist Services within Healthier Communities, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of specialist services that support priority populations throughout South Western Sydney. This key leadership role is responsible for driving the delivery of safe, high-quality and integrated models of care that are responsive to the evolving health and wellbeing needs of our communities.

Working collaboratively with clinicians, managers, consumers, community organisations and external stakeholders, you will champion service improvement, innovation, equity and culturally safe practice while ensuring services remain person-centred, evidence-based and outcomes focused. You will lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, strengthen partnerships across the health and community sectors, and drive initiatives that improve access, coordination and continuity of care for people experiencing complex health and social challenges.

As a senior leader within Healthier Communities, you will play a pivotal role in advancing prevention, early intervention and community-centred approaches to care, ensuring services are responsive, sustainable and aligned to the diverse needs of the South Western Sydney community. This is a unique opportunity to influence service direction, foster a culture of excellence and deliver meaningful improvements in health outcomes for some of the region's most vulnerable and priority populations.

Are You the Right Fit?

The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished health service leader with a proven track record of delivering quality, safety and performance outcomes within complex healthcare environments. You bring sound judgement, strategic thinking and strong governance expertise, enabling you to confidently lead services through competing priorities while maintaining a clear focus on consumer outcomes.

You are a collaborative and relationship-driven leader who excels at bringing together specialist, clinical and community services to create integrated models of care that improve access, coordination and continuity for patients and communities. Recognised for your ability to build trust and influence across diverse stakeholder groups, you foster strong partnerships that drive service effectiveness and innovation.

With a passion for continuous improvement, you are adept at balancing day-to-day operational demands with service redesign, innovation and long-term planning. You embrace opportunities to strengthen systems, enhance service delivery and respond proactively to changing community needs.

Importantly, you are a credible and supportive people leader who empowers multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellence. Through your commitment to accountability, workforce development and a positive workplace culture, you inspire high performance and create an environment where staff can thrive and deliver exceptional care.
