To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Over three months of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability using adjustable measuring instruments with interpretation of their applications.
  • Demonstrated ability working with operation sheets, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a Shake/Pulse Flush Operator, you will:

  • Cleaning, demagnetizing, shake flush, pressure checking, flow test plug-in bodies, and cleaning & packaging of parts.
  • Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities:
  • Pressure checking consists of part and fixture assembly connected to an oil pressure stand. The part is sprayed with a solution to detect leaks by visual appearance.
  • Shake and flush consists of mounting the part and fixture assembly on a machine. The machine produces an adjustable cleaning cycle which shakes' the assembly while changing direction of solvent flow through the part.
  • Pulse flush consists of taking part, fixture, and details and connecting the assembly to a solvent power supply system. The power supply system pumps solvent with a high-pressure pulse action-through controlled paths within the parts until it is clean.
  • Cleaning parts consists of using ultrasonic degreaser, Magnus washer, special solvents, demagnetizing if required, oiling parts to prevent rust, and packaging parts for stock.
  • Flow testing consists of mounting a plug-in body to a fixture on an oil low stand. Oil is flowed through the body to remove lapping compound.

Buffalo, NY $20.00–$26.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
