Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Shift Supervisor role is to ensure the efficient utilization of plant operations, continuously improve both quality management and production management system elements, and oversee employee development strategies, the integration of new hires, and the offboarding of departing employees in a structured manner. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with and enforcement of all applicable plant policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Supports the implementation of the company's Safety Standards and actively participates in the operation and continuous improvement of the safety management system.
- Ensures compliance with and enforcement of occupational health and safety regulations at the Vylor site.
- Assesses plant processes and recommends improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensures the achievement of weekly processing and harvest targets established by Vylor, oversees the timely and professional completion of corrective actions when required, and ensures optimal utilization of plant capacity.
- Responsible for preparing shift schedules and supervising employees during assigned shifts. Coordinates plant workforce activities to maximize efficiency while optimizing cost and quality performance.
- Participates in and takes a leading role in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of business support systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Bachelor's degree or college-level qualification in Engineering, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a multi-shift operation.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Communicative level of English language proficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and planning abilities.
- Team leadership and people management skills.
