Walker Cole International is partnering with a leading international pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organisation to appoint a Site Finance Director for one of its European manufacturing sites. The role carries overall financial responsibility for the site and a seat on the site leadership team, with the scope to shape how the business is run and how it grows.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Partnering: Partner the General Manager and site leadership team to set and deliver the site strategic plan, financial milestones and annual budget, and translate the numbers into insight that non-finance colleagues can act on.
P&L & Performance Management: Lead monthly forecasting and the month-end close. Present results and outlook in English to senior regional and US leadership, and identify and drive the levers that improve EBITDA.
Cost & Commercial Control: Strengthen cost control and the accuracy of materials cost attribution to customers. Act as finance advisor on customer pricing, contract profitability and quoting.
Financial Control & Compliance: Own the control environment, including statutory accounts, audit, tax, banking relationships, capital expenditure and working capital. Support group-wide process and system improvements.
People & Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small finance team, putting in place structure, regular one-to-ones, clear accountability and a strong team culture, and building a pipeline of future finance talent.
Experience Required
12+ years’ progressive finance experience, including senior site or business finance leadership in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, food, automotive or industrial backgrounds are all relevant)
Fluency in both French and English is essential, along with the confidence to present to and persuade senior stakeholders in English
Experience reporting into a US or international parent within a matrix organisation
Relocation support will be offered as a willingness to be on site full time, with relocation to the region is strongly preferred.
