Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate and oversee all site logistics, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of labour, materials, equipment and vehicles throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project logistics strategy and site logistics plan.
- Manage deliveries, storage areas, traffic routes, access points and material movements.
- Coordinate logistics activities with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage booking systems and delivery schedules to minimise congestion and delays.
- Oversee cranes, hoists, lifting operations and other shared logistics resources.
- Coordinate waste management, welfare facilities, security and site access arrangements.
- Monitor labour and plant requirements across the project.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Identify potential constraints and implement practical solutions to maintain programme delivery.
- Lead logistics meetings and provide regular progress updates to project leadership.
- Manage logistics operatives and specialist subcontractors.
- Maintain clear records, trackers and site logistics documentation.
Experience and Requirements
- Previous experience as a Logistics Manager on major construction projects.
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of site logistics, delivery management and material coordination.
- Experience managing logistics teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Good understanding of lifting operations, traffic management and site safety.
- Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international project environment.
- Willingness to be site-based in Frankfurt.
- Fluent English; German language skills would be advantageous
