We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work hands-on at the intersection of software and hardware —building prototypes, GUI development, test automation, and software debugging with direct hardware testing.

Responsibilities

  • Software Prototyping & GUI Development: Build functional software prototypes and user-friendly Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) to control, monitor, and interface with underlying hardware systems.
  • Hands-on Software-Hardware Debugging: Test software-hardware integration, identify defects and bugs for fixes.
  • Automation Scripting: Translate manual hardware testing procedures into repeatable automated test scripts.
  • Engineering Support: Support other ongoing development efforts.
  • Agile & DevOps Workflow: Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, pull requests and standard DevOps workflows across both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Intern Project: Take end-to-end ownership of a dedicated project—applying software design, testing, and technology integration principles from initial concept to final presentation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Programming proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C/C++, and C#.
  • Exposure to hardware drivers and low-level hardware-to-software communication interfaces (e.g., serial protocols, bus interfaces).
  • Experience with desktop GUI frameworks (e.g., PyQt6 for Python, Qt for C++, or WPF/.NET for C#).
  • Basic understanding of fundamental encryption concepts and data security principles.
  • Strong desire and willingness to learn the detailed operational mechanics of GPS/GNSS technologies and positional data systems.
  • Practical understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle and core DevOps principles.
  • Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on hardware testing that directly informs automation scripting.
  • Strong communication skills with an appetite for sharing ideas and technical solutions.
