Software Engineer, AI Agents (San Francisco Bay Area, on-site)

Corellia Talent is partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed AI company in the Bay Area to hire Software Engineers to build their AI agents.

About the company

Our client builds autonomous AI agents that generate, test and ship production software, then learn from real-world results. The product is live with well-known enterprise customers, generating revenue and growing quickly, and the company recently raised its Series A from top-tier investors.

The role

You’ll build the core intelligence behind their agents: how they plan, reason, use tools, check their own work and improve over time. This is systems engineering, not prompt engineering.

• Build agents that generate high-quality software and product experiences
• Develop agent workflows for planning, reasoning, tool use and multi-step execution
• Build systems that let agents test, verify and improve their own output
• Create evaluation and validation systems for generated code
• Build agent memory, feedback loops and learning pipelines
• Integrate agents with browsers, development environments and internal tools
• Improve orchestration across generation, validation, deployment and monitoring, at real production scale

What they’re looking for

• You’ve built agent harnesses or multi-step agent systems in production and owned the core architecture
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and a record of shipping reliable production systems
• You design reliable systems around non-deterministic model behaviour
• Strong full-stack skills (TypeScript, React, Python) and good product judgement
• Experience with automated testing, evals and parallel execution

Nice to have

• Multi-agent systems experience
• Code generation products
• Browser agents, computer use or developer tooling
• Former founder or founding engineer
• Competitive programming or open-source contributions

Package

• $180,000 to $300,000 base plus equity
• Five days a week on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Relocation supported. TN, H-1B transfer and F-1 OPT welcome (no new H-1B sponsorship)
• Unlimited PTO, 401k match, full medical, dental and vision, meals covered in the office
