Software Engineer, Core Systems

About the Role

Join a small engineering team at an early-stage healthtech company building backend infrastructure for radiology services and AI-assisted workflows. You will own core systems that support data pipelines, warehousing, and distributed model inference.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and operate backend infrastructure for data ingestion, warehousing, and distributed model inference on AWS.

• Own reliability, observability, debugging, and capacity planning across the backend stack without a separate SRE team.

• Build CI/CD and deployment automation that helps the team deliver changes safely and efficiently.

• Design systems that handle protected health information with HIPAA-compliant encryption, access controls, and audit logging.

• Work closely with machine learning teammates on infrastructure and model inference pipelines as priorities evolve.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in data infrastructure, backend engineering, or distributed systems.

• Experience building backend infrastructure across data ingestion, warehousing, and distributed model inference on AWS.

• Hands-on experience owning reliability and operations, and building CI/CD and deployment automation.

• Experience designing HIPAA-compliant systems that handle protected health information.

• Relevant technologies include Python, Go, AWS, TypeScript, React, Docker, CI/CD, distributed systems, data pipelines, and ETL.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $215,000 to $275,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
