WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, mission-critical systems in the space sector, contributing to solutions used in real-world operational environments. You will play an active role in the design, development, and evolution of software solutions that are essential to our client’s operational success.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex components of satellite control systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the evolution of the system.
• Collaborate closely with teammates through technical reviews and design sessions.
• Ensure high quality and reliability in all delivered solutions.
• Support incident resolution and the improvement of existing features.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development tools, workflows, and practices.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for a Software Engineer with strong technical skills and a passion for backend development to join the team responsible for the satellite control center at one of Europe’s leading operators.

The required qualifications for this position are as follows:

• Extensive, demonstrable experience in software development for complex systems.
• Solid knowledge of software testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Interest in and ability to work on backend development for complex distributed systems.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

We will also value knowledge of:

• Experience with the languages used in our systems. C++17/C++20 and Python 3 are the primary languages required for this position, although experience with Java and JavaScript (React, Node.js) is also a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker or containerization technologies.
• Interest in or basic experience with front-end development.
• Experience with Git and modern branching and version control workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation tools, and pipeline solutions such as GitLab.
• Knowledge of hexagonal architecture, clean code, or other modern software design principles.
