We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to build the core product experiences that customers use every day. The company's users are risk and compliance teams who run complex, highly structured workflows with large volumes of data, documents, approvals and collaboration. Your job will be to make these workflows fast and easy to use, and to build the frontend and backend systems behind them. You will also build AI-powered features that automate work that has always been done by hand. Engineers here own products end to end, from understanding the customer problem through technical design, shipping and running in production. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the CTO, on a small engineering team of five people.
Details:
- Schedule: Full time
- Location: Onsite – New York City, NY
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Long-term
- English: Fluent
- Type of collaboration: Internal Employment
- Visa sponsorship: H-1B, O-1, OPT (all visa types supported)
About the project:
The company is building an AI-native compliance operating system for financial institutions. Compliance is critical for banks, credit unions and fintechs, but most of this work is still done manually in legacy tools or Excel. The platform replaces these manual processes with software that runs third-party due diligence, screens marketing materials and keeps teams up to date with constantly changing regulations. The business has strong product-market fit: it has reached $2.5M ARR, grown revenue more than 5x since its Series A, and works with leading US fintech companies. Engineers join for the traction, real ownership and a highly talented small team.
You have:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building production web applications
- Strong experience building modern, interactive frontend applications and the backend systems behind them
- Excellent product and UX judgment, especially for complex or data-heavy applications
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, application state, APIs, data modeling and relational databases
- Ability to take a product problem from first idea through technical design, implementation and production
- High attention to detail and a high bar for the quality, performance and usability of what you ship
- Ability to work full time, in person, in New York City
Nice to have:
- Experience building AI-powered product features
- Experience working directly with customers to shape product direction
What to do:
- Build and ship new product features end to end, across frontend and backend
- Lead major features from technical design to launch, working closely with other engineers and Customer Success
- Design and build intuitive user experiences for complex, data-heavy risk and compliance workflows
- Build AI-powered features that automate compliance work that used to be manual
- Improve the performance, reliability and architecture of the application as the company scales, based on direct work with customers
Benefits:
- Equity of 0.5%–1%
- 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision premiums for employees and dependents
- Paid time off and paid company holidays
- Lunch provided in the office
