Software Engineer, Marketplace

About the Role

Join a team building marketplace infrastructure for an applied AI and training data business. You will develop the systems that help acquire, assess, onboard, and match domain experts to projects, with room to grow into machine learning-powered recommendations.

What You'll Do

• Build and own infrastructure for expert outreach, interviewing, assessments, and onboarding.

• Develop tools to manage experts and match them to projects based on fit and availability.

• Automate manual workflows to increase the growth team's operational capacity.

• Partner with growth teammates to identify bottlenecks, measure funnel performance, and deliver improvements.

• Develop recommendation systems to anticipate expert needs and automate project staffing.

What We're Looking For

• Two to five years of full-stack software engineering experience, with experience building and owning end-to-end systems.

• Proficiency with Node.js or Python and Kubernetes.

• Experience with marketplace or growth infrastructure at a high-growth startup is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch is a plus.

• Strong computer science fundamentals and a track record of building scalable infrastructure.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $250,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week.
