About the Role

Mechademy is hiring a Solutions Consultant to work directly with enterprise customers, including power plants, LNG terminals, refineries, and gas processing and pipeline operators, deploying Turbomechanica, our physics-informed ML platform for rotating equipment, into production environments.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing role at the intersection of reliability engineering, process/plant engineering, and customer success. You will sit across the table from the operators and reliability engineers running the compressors, turbines, and pumps, translate their operating problems into technical solutions, and help drive Turbomechanica from pilot to production on their sites.

Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Deployment

• Partner directly with customers to translate operating problems (surge margin, polytropic efficiency, vibration signatures, unplanned trips) into technical solutions on Turbomechanica.

• Scope and lead deployments from initial concept through production, working alongside customer reliability and operations teams.

• Design and deliver prototypes, demos, and proof-of-concept work tailored to a customer's equipment and operating conditions.

Voice of the Customer & Collaboration

• Act as the technical voice of the customer internally, feeding field and operational feedback back into Product and Engineering.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to close and expand accounts.

Platform & Technical Contribution

• Build fluency in physics-informed modeling, anomaly detection, and diagnostics workflows for turbines, compressors, pumps, and engines.

• Support integrations with historians, CMMS/ERP systems, and other plant systems (working proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar is a plus).

Requirements

Experience & Domain Depth

• 10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, rotating equipment, mechanical engineering, or petroleum engineering, with a background in turbomachinery, process/plant engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.

• Strong grounding in rotating equipment fundamentals (compressors, turbines, pumps) and the operating problems operators actually face.

• Experience working directly with customers, operators, or external stakeholders.

Data, Analytics & Tools

• Working proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar; production-level coding experience is a plus, not a hard requirement.

Attributes & Communication

• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Interest in applied ML and physics-informed modeling for industrial systems

What This Role Offers

• Top-of-market compensation and equity.

• Significant ownership and visibility from day one.

• Work directly with power, LNG, refining, and pipeline operators solving real equipment problems. • Exposure to physics-informed ML on live industrial systems, not synthetic benchmarks.

• Remote-first with flexibility, with Houston preferred for proximity to Gulf Coast customers.

• Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

• Small, high-performing team with a massive growth trajectory.

• Help define the future of industrial AI.

Location

• Remote (Houston, TX preferred)
