OUR STORY

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people in the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

THE ROLE

SP003 - Risk Management Coordinator

Full-time - Ongoing

Key Functions

The Risk Management Coordinator works across the Central Land Council to support, advise and coordinate the implementation of the risk management framework, delivering information to decision-makers to support the delivery of CLC’s objectives. The role is a central advisor responsible for maintaining the risk management system, risk registers, indicators and tools, as well as providing technical guidance to staff. The role provides secretariat support for the CLC’s Audit and Risk Committee. Additionally, the role works internally to support the implementation of quality improvements.

The candidate will exhibit strong strategic thinking, planning, monitoring, researching and reporting capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and an attention to detail and accuracy. Bringing a continuous improvement and capacity building approach to assist the CLC to deliver effectively on its strategic goals.

Remuneration & Remarkable Benefits

Base Salary Range: Starting from $115,873 p.a. (negotiable classification banding based on skills and experience, subject to CLC EA guidelines and authorised approval).

  • District & Remote Allowance: approximately $3,910 per annum (single rate) or $7,170 per annum (with dependents rate).
  • Other Generous Entitlements: 5 Weeks Annual Leave per year with 17.5% leave loading | Paid Christmas / New Year Shutdown (bonus leave!) | 18 Days Personal/Carer’s Leave + Cultural Leave entitlements under CLC EA | Leave Airfares Allowance | Relocation Assistance (if applicable) | Temporary accommodation support for interstate or intrastate candidates moving to Alice Springs, and much more!

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
