We are looking for a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher for a bilingual school based in Changzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2025. Job details Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs/EHCPs) to meet students unique needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia, physical disabilities). Regularly evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies using formative and summative assessments. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, psychologists, and parents to ensure holistic support. Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive behavior and engagement. Modify teaching materials and utilize assistive technologies to enhance accessibility. Participate in training on SEN methodologies (e.g., ABA, Makaton) and stay updated on legislation (e.g., SEND Code of Practice, IDEA). Adhere to child protection policies and promote student welfare Requirements You have experience of working in international or bilingual schools Bachelors degree in Education/Special Education; valid teaching certification. SEN-specific qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in SEN). Minimum 2 years teaching students with SEN in a school setting. Understanding of relevant frameworks (e.g., EHCPs, IEPs) and safeguarding protocols.
