Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer , you will help architect and build the core systems that power the Confido platform. You’ll lead the development of major product and infrastructure initiatives—from AI-powered document ingestion to large-scale financial analytics systems. This role combines deep technical ownership with product impact , working closely with engineering, product, and customers to turn complex operational workflows into scalable software. Location: New York, NY (Relocation supported) What You'll Do Lead the design and development of major platform and product systems Architect scalable infrastructure for financial data processing and analytics Build systems that ingest and process financial data across multiple sources Develop AI-powered workflows for document ingestion and financial automation Partner with product and leadership to shape technical strategy and roadmap Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team Example Problems AI-powered ingestion of invoices, deductions, and retailer reports Scaling data pipelines that ingest financial data from retailer systems Building analytics infrastructure for forecasting and demand planning Designing product experiences that simplify complex financial workflows Improving performance, reliability, and scalability of core platform systems What We're Looking For Required 8+ years of software engineering experience Strong systems design and architecture experience Proven ability to build and scale complex production systems Strong product instincts and ability to translate real-world workflows into software Nice to Have Experience working with AI/ML-powered systems Experience with large-scale data pipelines or analytics infrastructure Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional teams Interest in early-stage startups and high-ownership roles CS degree or equivalent experience Confido provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
