About the Role

Join an applied AI research and data team to lead legal-focused projects that help develop high-quality datasets for advanced AI systems. You will own client relationships and project delivery while working across expert teams and internal initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with internal teams on AI research and company-wide initiatives.

  • Support operational projects as an early member of the team.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 3 years of substantive legal experience in a leading law firm, an in-house legal team, government or regulatory work, or a legal technology startup.

  • A JD or equivalent legal qualification, with experience drafting, negotiating, litigating, or providing legal advice.

  • Strong legal reasoning and research skills, with the ability to distinguish rigorous analysis from superficial answers.

  • Excellent communication, client management, and end-to-end project ownership skills.

  • Experience in a demanding environment such as consulting, investment banking, a startup, or legal practice.

  • An undergraduate degree from a US, Canadian, or European institution.

  • Willingness to work an intensive schedule, including five weekdays and some Sunday availability, with the ability to work 60 or more hours when needed.
