Why we exist

Every decision a business makes, from the suppliers it trusts to the risks it accepts, eventually shows up as spend. This makes spend data the most honest record of how a company operates. Not the strategy deck or the org chart: spend describes what really happened.

This record exists, but it's scattered across dozens of systems and decades of legacy technology. Companies spending billions a year still can't easily answer: Who are our suppliers? Where are we exposed? What are we paying for twice?

We believe a business that can't see itself clearly can't make great decisions. Deducta exists to give the world's most complex organisations a true picture of how they operate, and the intelligence to act on it. Our ambition is to become the category-defining platform for enterprise data intelligence.

We're well funded, growing fast, and have already processed more than £1 trillion of spend for some of the world's largest and most recognisable companies. Our partners use Deducta to deliver major business transformations orders of magnitude faster.

Why this role matters

Deducta is growing fast, and the work that keeps a company running well at this pace rarely belongs to one function. This role works directly with the Chief of Staff on the company's top priorities, turning them into plans, decisions and results. You'll report to the Chief of Staff.

You'll have broad scope and real autonomy, moving between operating cadences, cross-functional projects, investor materials and analysis for the leadership team. You'll see how every part of the company works and help shape how it runs.

What you'll do

  • Company priorities: Turn the leadership team's priorities into clear plans with owners, milestones and measures, and keep them on track.

  • Operating cadences: Run and improve how we plan, set goals and review progress, from weekly leadership meetings to quarterly planning.

  • Cross-functional projects: Lead projects that span GTM, customer delivery and hiring, from scoping the problem through to results.

  • Board and investor materials: Prepare board decks, investor updates and the analysis behind them.

  • Analysis for leadership: Build the models, benchmarks and recommendations the leadership team uses to make decisions.

Success in this role means:

  • Priorities deliver: Company priorities have clear owners and plans, and progress is visible without chasing.

  • Cadences work: Planning and review cycles run on time and lead to decisions rather than status updates.

  • Projects land: Cross-functional projects finish with measurable results, and the processes they create keep working.

  • Trusted analysis: Leadership relies on your analysis and recommendations for its most important decisions.

Who you are

We're looking for a high-agency former management consultant with roughly three to four years in MBB or top-tier management consulting, ideally having reached Manager. You'll combine structured problem solving with the drive to execute. A background in procurement or enterprise software isn't required.

You might be the right fit if you have:

  • Top-tier consulting experience: Roughly three to four years at MBB or a top-tier strategy firm, with experience leading workstreams and working with senior clients.

  • Structured problem solving: You take an ambiguous problem, break it down and turn it into a clear plan with owners and milestones.

  • Analytical depth: You build models and analysis yourself, and turn them into clear recommendations.

  • Strong execution: You follow through on details, keep many workstreams moving at once, and build processes that run without you.

  • Executive communication: You write and present clearly to senior audiences, including boards and investors.

  • Range: You're comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on operations in the same week.

  • Nice to have: Startup or in-house strategy experience, or exposure to B2B software, data or AI.

We care most about how you think, the quality of your work and how you approach unfamiliar problems. Previous startup experience isn't essential, but the pace, initiative and judgement to thrive in one are.

How we work

We believe in freedom and responsibility. We set clear priorities, share the context and trust people to decide how to deliver. You'll thrive here if you value:

  • Ownership: You own the outcome, not just the task. You deliver what you commit to, follow through when things get difficult, and own your mistakes.

  • Unreasonable hospitality: You treat prospects, clients and teammates with exceptional care as a default. You anticipate needs, communicate with clarity, and help others succeed.

  • Bias for action: We don’t have every answer upfront. You move things forward without waiting to be asked, take calculated risks, and adapt as you learn.

  • Craft: Moving quickly matters, but so does doing work that stays clear, reliable and useful as we grow.

  • System building: You create leverage beyond your own output, building processes, tools and documentation that others reuse and that keep working without you.

  • Candor: You tell the hard truth early, give and receive feedback thoughtfully, ask for help when you need it, and push back when priorities need to change.

  • Curiosity about AI: You’re excited by what applied AI makes possible, and you look for ways to use it in your own work.

As an early team member, you'll help shape our culture, our processes and where Deducta goes next. We're growing quickly, and this role will grow with us.
