Project Overview: The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village. The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway. Job Summary: The Subcontracts administrator shall report functionally to the Projects Contracts Manager and support each assigned Contracts Administrator on various civil, mechanical and electrical/instrumentation packages. The Subcontracts administrator shall also work with other functions such as field engineering and project controls. Major Responsibilities: Pre-Contract Duties: Preparing comprehensive and accurate BoQs to standardize bidding for contractors. Assisting financial evaluations to recommend the best contractor. Assisting in negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing with the successful bidder to protect client interests. Post-Contract Duties: Interim Payments: Assess and verify the value of work completed on-site to issue monthly progress payments. Variation Management: Price and assess the financial impact of any changes, additions, or omissions to the original project scope. Claim Evaluation: Asses financial claims submitted by the Contractor. Project Close-Out Final Accounts: Reconcile all project costs, variations, and claims to agree on the final financial settlement with the client or contractor. Education and Experience Requirements: Preference is a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and/or 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Must be able to demonstrate experience in: Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labor Preparing tender and contract documents Identifying and weighing up commercial risks Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments Proven track record, knowledge and implementation of rules of measurement associated with the industrial/petrochemical sector for civils, mechanical and electrical/instrumentation Essential Behavioral: Skill in oral and written communication i.e., must be fluent and native speaker (equivalent) of English Language. Additionally, fluency in Arabic language in addition to English would be highly regarded however, is not essential. Ability and proven experience of working in a multi-cultural environment. Capable of dealing and interacting with disputing people and situations. Empathetic and emotionally intelligent i.e., is comfortable with a diverse and inclusive working environment where teamwork, collaboration, communication, sharing of ideas and knowledge transfer are mandatory.
