Role & Responsibilities: Evaluate and summarize New Model project activities, supporting supplier part and process maturation to meet project timelines. Apply basic engineering knowledge to ensure parts and processes meet quality and demand requirements. Review supplier processes including FMEA, PQCT, operation standards, and MQS. Prepare and manage part conformance approvals prior to sale. Provide technical support during tool trials and crisis situations, collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality or tooling issues. Conduct dimensional analysis and specification testing to evaluate initial part conformance. Ensure supplier planning supports volume and cycle time targets. Develop and support departmental projects and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. 0-6 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in measurement systems (GD&T, DNT), stamping, welding, CAD software (e.g., CATIA), and Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new technologies.
Working Conditions: Office-based with remote work options; travel required approximately 2-3 days/week, including potential overnight and international trips. Support during trial builds and production activities may necessitate shift adjustments.
