Our client is a fast-growing international satellite manufacturer company developing and operating advanced satellite-based Earth-observation and intelligence capabilities for government, defence, security, civil-protection, and commercial customers.
They are looking for two Supplier Quality Engineers, one focused on mechanical hardware and one focused on electronics. The positions sit within the Mission Assurance / Reliability organization and support supplier quality across mission-critical hardware from supplier selection through production readiness and ongoing performance management.

What to know about the roles :
Both positions are responsible for strengthening supplier quality, reliability, maturity, and scalability across the external manufacturing ecosystem. You will work across the supplier lifecycle, from selection and qualification through performance management, change control, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement, in close collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, and AIT Engineering.
The focus is on mechanical or electronic parts and assemblies, supplier maturity, manufacturability, process capability, and reliable production across external partners. The role supports supplier preselection and audits, requirement flow-down, change control, part qualification, supplier improvement, and alignment between supplier capabilities and design and production needs.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Define and communicate technical and quality requirements to suppliers, ensuring clear understanding and consistent compliance across the supply chain.
- Manage supplier change requests, part and process approvals, and configuration control activities in coordination with Engineering and Configuration Management teams.
- Lead supplier part qualification activities ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements prior to production release.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate supplier-related risks, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing impact to product quality and delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for supplier-related quality issues, including management of non-conformances and deviation / waiver requests, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
- Lead supplier preselection and follow-up audits to assess capability, maturity, and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Monitor supplier performance using defined metrics (e.g., delivery quality, NCR rates, on-time delivery, responsiveness) to identify gaps and drive improvement actions.
- Collaborate early with Design and AIT Engineering teams to gather manufacturability and inspectability feedback from suppliers.
- Implement and track supplier improvement plans to increase supplier maturity and readiness.

Must haves
[Mechanical role]
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related field)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality management for mechanical parts and assemblies (machined parts, composites, electromechanical assemblies), including supplier audits, qualification (FAI/PPAP or equivalent), and performance monitoring
- Deep understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes (CNC machining, surface treatments, and assembly) and inspection/verification methodologies, with a focus on dimensional conformity, workmanship, and product reliability
- Experience with non-conformance (NC) management, root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.), and CAPA implementation in mechanical manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T requirements, 3D CAD models, specifications, material standards, and manufacturing process documentation
- Strong focus on traceability, configuration control, and engineering change management for mission-critical mechanical hardware and assemblies
- Data-driven approach to analyzing supplier performance, quality metrics, inspection results, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across suppliers and internal teams

- Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience in supplier quality management for high-reliability electronics, including audits, qualification activities, and supplier performance management
- Deep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and requirements for high-performance / harsh-environment electronic products, including PCB assembly, cable and harness assembly, and inspection methodologies.
- Experience managing non-conformances, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions in high-reliability manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, and detailed technical specifications
- Strong understanding of traceability, configuration control, and change management for mission-critical hardware
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across suppliers and cross-functional internal teams
- Ability to drive results and influence decisions without direct authority
- Structured problem-solving approach with strong analytical thinking skills
- High level of ownership with a proactive and hands-on working style
