Surgical First Assistant LSA, CSFA or CSA | Loudoun County, VA

An established surgical first assistant group is looking for an LSA, CSFA or CSA to join its surgical team. Cases include general, OB/GYN, urology, colorectal, spine, neuro, and ortho, with the opportunity to cross-train into all specialties. Da Vinci robotics foundation is required, and experience assisting in more advanced robotics is preferred. Schedule

• 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts available
• Flexible weekly scheduling: you provide your desired hours and daily availability
• Shared 1:6 weekend call rotation with team members at a Level 2 trauma center, with overtime and standby pay
• Stable schedule posted at least one month in advance, covering Loudoun County, VA to Southeast DC
• Home base hospital determined by skill set

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate of $60-$75 based on experience
• Overtime option: Time and a half for hours over 40 per week, plus standby call pay
• Health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO and malpractice coverage for team members averaging 20+ hours per week
• Relocation stipend and sign-on bonus offered up to $15,000
• Opportunity for upward mobility: first assistants here move into management roles over time
• The group is able to cross-train candidates into all specialties.

What We're Looking For

• Active LSA, CSFA or CSA credential
• Active Virginia or DC license, or eligibility to obtain one
• First-assist experience with the da Vinci robotic system
• Comfort working as the first assistant alongside the operating surgeon.
