Job Description: The Swine Nursery/Finishing Service Supervisor works closely with growers to monitor herd and barn performance, identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot day-to-day operational challenges, and help drive efficiency and long-term success. This position also supports compliance with company standards, safety practices, and animal care protocols while promoting open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the production system. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a liaison between the ownership entity and the producer raising the animals for Country View Family Farms Review production performance and make decisions concerning performance issues at individual farm locations. Carry out the terms and conditions of the agreement entered into between CVFF and the producer. Manages financial performance by controlling costs, budgeting, business and financial planning and tracking financial activity Establishes and maintains open communication with all farm staff, management, other departments, external and internal customers and suppliers, and the local community to identify potential problems and initiate continual improvement Ensure that the farm's work environment is safe, by providing safety equipment, training and actions to prevent hazardous conditions Ensure all equipment, machinery, and vehicles are accounted for and properly maintained Ensure You have an Associate's degree (A.A.) in Animal Sciences, Agribusiness, Livestock Production or equivalent from two-year college or a degree from an accredited technical school; or a minimum of five years related experiences and/or training. You are passionate about teaching and leading growers to meet goals in efficiency while maintaining our ethics, integrity and stewardship. You are naturally analytical and can understand what the numbers are telling you. Be able to solve problems in the moment and make adjustments for future improvements. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can physically be standing on your feet periodically throughout the day with the ability to lift 50 lbs. You are able to tolerate a barn environment, which may include animal dander, manure, dust, blood, odors and frequently noisy conditions. Move/ Transport/ Install/ Remove: Frequently moves equipment/ animals weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally moves equipment/ animals weighing up to 75 pounds, rarely moves equipment/ animals weighing up to 100 pounds. Frequently transports equipment/ materials/ animals through various areas of the Barn weighing 50 pounds or more. Frequently utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) including animal sort boards weighing up to 25 pounds and requiring the ability to twist, bend, and maneuver around the body. Work Environment: Frequent exposure to loud noises, dirty/ dusty environments, hot and cold temperatures, outdoor environments, animal dander, manure, blood.
