Project description
You will join an ADAS development project centered on a front camera system. The sensor scope includes ultrasonics and radar. You will be workin at the premises of a leading automotive Tier 1 supplier in Prague, as part of the customer's engineering team. The project focuses on system integration and vehicle integration, covering both prototype and series vehicles. You will help bring the sensor and ECU components together into a working, verified ADAS system, from bench-level integration through to vehicle testing. You will work closely with the software, hardware, and vehicle testing teams and act as the technical link between them. This is a travel intensive position with up to 80% of the time in business travel.
Responsibilities
- Requirements & Architecture: Understands and defines system-level requirements, use cases, and system architectures.
- Component & Interface Allocation: Cascade system requirements into hardware, software.
- Integration & Verification: Oversee system integration on real- series/ prototype vehicles; diagnose complex system-level failures using network analysis tools.
- Own & Manage Interface Control Documents for sensor streams (Radar, ULS, Camera) and vehicle networks.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary technical interface between Software, hardware and vehicle testing.
- Feature & Sensor Validation: Validate end-to-end ADAS feature functionality (e.g., AEB, ACC, LKA, Highway Assist) and sensor interfaces (Radar, LiDAR, Camera) under edge-case traffic scenarios.
- Trace Analysis & Bug Tracking: Analyze vehicle bus traffic (CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN) and diagnostic logs using Vector tools, to isolate root-cause.
- Vehicle & Bench Testing: Conduct bench integration and prototype vehicle testing on test tracks using target bots and data acquisition hardware.
SKILLS
Must have
- BS or MS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of systems engineering experience focused on automotive electronic control units (ECUs) or ADAS features.
- Experince in SW developement process and codigng langages like C++ CAPL And pythen languages are plus!
- Solid knowledge of vehicle networking protocols (CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, FlexRay) and network topology design.
Nice to have
• Prototype driving license
• Direct experience defining system concepts for L2+ and L3 automated driving features (e.g., Highway Assist, Traffic Jam Pilot, Automated Valet Parking).
• Hands-on experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) for system-level trace analysis and diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Experienced in Valeo Host CAM/ anSWer projects.
