Job Description Summary
Depot Subject Matter Expert provides depot-level technical expertise for T700/CT7 engine maintenance, repair, inspection, assembly/disassembly, troubleshooting, and test activities. This role supports both hands-on shop execution and quality/engineering-focused evaluation of maintenance activities, ensuring work is performed in accordance with technical directives, approved procedures, and operational requirements. This role also helps develop workforce capability by coaching and training customer personnel on quality systems, supporting documentation, workstation development, heavy machine operation, and technical discipline.GE Aerospace is seeking a T700/CT7 (Turboshaft) Depot Subject Matter Expert - Quality / Repair Engineering to provide technical leadership across depot maintenance activity for T700/CT7 engines and modules. In this role, you will help interpret maintenance directives, evaluate maintenance activity for compliance and completeness, support troubleshooting and repair decisions, and strengthen documentation, training, and process discipline. This is a hands-on technical role for a professional who can connect quality expectations with practical depot execution. This role is full time, on-site at customer facility located in Deblin, Poland.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply technical directives, manuals, drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and maintenance publications relevant to T700/CT7 depot operations.
- Review maintenance activity to verify procedural compliance, technical accuracy, inspection completeness, and alignment to approved instructions.
- Assist with troubleshooting engine and module conditions by studying technical data, maintenance findings, and engine operating characteristics.
- Support determination of work scope and repair procedures for T700-GE-701C/D, CT7-2E1, and CT7-8E engines, modules, and components based on technical requirements and condition assessment.
- Partner with GE internal and customer operations, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical questions and reinforce standardized maintenance execution.
- Help ensure maintenance records, findings, inspections, and related documentation are complete, accurate, compliant, and usable.
- Provide technical support across inspection, repair, modification, assembly, disassembly, and test-related activities as needed.
- Deliver on-the-job training and practical guidance to customer personnel to build technical capability and reinforce process compliance.
- Identify quality risks, recurring issues, or process gaps and support corrective action and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support proper use of tooling, support equipment, preservation requirements, and handling practices where quality oversight is needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in T700/CT7 engine maintenance, depot operations, or closely related turboshaft engine maintenance support.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting capability and experience supporting technical evaluation of defects, maintenance findings, and repair decisions.
- Experience with engine or module inspection, assembly, disassembly, repair, and test activity as relevant to depot operations.
- Working knowledge of maintenance documentation, procedural compliance, and quality-focused execution in a controlled environment.
- Experience using applicable tools, special tools, and test equipment associated with turboshaft engine maintenance activity.
- Ability to provide effective on-the-job training, technical coaching, and clear written or verbal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quality systems, maintenance process compliance, engineering support, or technical publication implementation.
- Background in work instruction validation, maintenance evaluation, audit support, or inspection documentation review.
- Experience supporting military, depot, or sustainment programs with disciplined configuration and procedural control.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement utilizing FLIGHT DECK or similar lean operating system, corrective action follow-through, and practical process standardization.
- Ability to work effectively across quality, engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to solve technical issues.
- Experience coaching teams on documentation quality, process discipline, and repeatable execution.
