Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Team Leader in partnership with the Cumberland House Cree Nation. This position is onsite at th e Chief Island Food and C-Store location in Cumberland House, Saskatchewan. What You Will Do: •Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s and Cumberland House Cree Nations’ vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in the community, with a strong customer-focused approach. •Provide and exceptional customer experience at all touch points through various communication channels. •Build and lead a high-performance team that delivers on budgeted targets by maximizing operational efficiency, providing quality service and delivering an exceptional customer experience. •Supervise and motivate team members to meet productivity and customer service goals. •Ensure the departments are displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards. •Ensure inventories are managed and protected in compliance with management standards and practices to maintain high levels of accuracy and minimal loss. •Provide superior leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management and feedback. •Become familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco and lottery. •Oversee the completion of daily reports, reconciliations, and purchases. •Champion the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures. •Perform minor repairs to assets as required. •Perform all other duties as required. Who You Are: You are looking for a career opportunity in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and meet the following: • High school diploma or equivalent; 5 + years experience in retail grocery operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. • Experience with inventory management, merchandising, and team supervision. • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Proficient in basic math and comfortable using point of sale (POS) systems and store management software. • Knowledge of retail sales strategies, inventory control, and loss prevention practices. • Strong oral and written communication skills and communicate effectively using multiple communication channels. • Available to work a flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends are required. • Carry a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum). • Fulfill physical job requirements including standing for entire shift and being able to lift 25-50 lbs.
