You run the demo, answer the hard technical questions and close the deal yourself. Be the first seller at an AI infrastructure startup.
A seed-stage AI infrastructure startup in San Francisco, under ten people, builds the tooling that keeps enterprise AI agents getting better: one place to manage the knowledge that live chatbots and agents draw on, plus testing and monitoring so every mistake becomes an improvement. It already has contracts with some of the largest brands in media, telecom and financial services. Product and engineering handle deployment and customer success, so you can focus on winning new business.
What you'll own
- Enterprise deals from first contact to contract, with CIOs, AI leaders and central AI teams
- Technical discovery, demos and evaluations, run by you
- The go-to-market playbook, built from zero with both founders
- High-touch, in-person selling: executive dinners, workshops and conferences
Must-haves
- You've personally owned technical discovery, demos or closing (supporting someone else's sales cycle as an engineer doesn't count)
- You love selling and winning, not just the technical side, and you don't lean on a solutions engineer for answers
- Mainly pre-sales experience, rather than implementation, deployment, customer success or project delivery
- Fluent in LLMs, agents, evals, orchestration and APIs
- At least 1 year of experience; depth and ownership matter more than years
- Based in the San Francisco office, 9-9-5, travelling roughly once or twice a month
Bonus points
- A founder who built and sold a technical product
- One of the first technical sellers at an AI startup
- Hackathons or unusual ventures
What's in it for you
- $120k–$180k base + 0.25–1% equity
- Room to grow into a sales leadership role
- A $1,000 monthly stipend, health insurance and team offsites
- Visa sponsorship available
Good to know
- Full-time, on-site in San Francisco (9-9-5), plus 1–2 trips a month
- Process: interview with both founders → meeting in person → a trial day on live work, such as a demo, a client call or an event in San Francisco → offer
When you apply, please include
- Your CV (PDF) and your LinkedIn URL
- An enterprise deal you drove from discovery to close: the buyer's level, deal size and cycle length
- A few lines on why you'd choose a seed-stage startup over big tech
- Your current location, and confirmation that on-site San Francisco plus travel works for you
- Your visa or citizenship status, and if you'll need sponsorship
- Your base salary expectation, your notice period, and any other interview processes you're in
