About the Opportunity

We are supporting a leading organisation in Qatar’s power and energy sector with the appointment of a Technical Training & Development Specialist.

This position will suit an engineering professional who has transitioned into technical learning and workforce development and has experience creating structured development programmes for engineers, technicians and early-career technical talent.

The successful candidate will combine practical industry knowledge with strong training expertise and will be comfortable working across both corporate and operational/site environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement technical learning frameworks, competency pathways and development plans for engineering and operational employees.
• Build training programmes from initial needs analysis through content development, delivery, assessment and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate classroom, practical and on-the-job learning, working closely with engineering and operational subject-matter experts.
• Evaluate employee and trainee capability, identify technical skills gaps and recommend appropriate learning interventions.
• Partner with business leaders, technical teams and external training organisations to coordinate programmes, resources, learning records and associated training activities.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, combining technical/engineering exposure with learning, training or competency development.
• Strong background within power generation, utilities or the wider energy sector, ideally involving operational or plant environments.
• Demonstrated experience building technical training or competency programmes from the ground up, rather than solely delivering existing courses.
• Excellent English communication and facilitation skills; GCC experience and Arabic language capability are advantageous.
