Covering more than 7,300 square kilometres, the Shire has around 7,000 residents across the heritage township of Tenterfield and seven villages. The landscape ranges from rolling farmland to rugged ranges and national parks. With four distinct seasons, a close-knit community, and Brisbane and the Gold Coast about three hours away, the Shire offers an enviable rural lifestyle with easy access to south-east Queensland.
