About Dreamerlabs
Dreamerlabs is building a new category of entertainment: interactive experiences powered by AI characters, chat, voice, image and video, shaped in real time around each person.
Entertainment has spent decades becoming more personalised, from TV to YouTube to TikTok. AI unlocks a second axis, interactivity, where the story responds to you. That is what we’re building, and we’re doing it at serious scale.
In under two years, we have built one of the most-visited AI entertainment products in the world:
20 million monthly visitors
A top 1,000 website globally
250 billion tokens processed every day
1.2 million images and videos generated every day
350+ model requests per second, served from our own GPU fleet
We’ve done it profitable and bootstrapped, and now we are scaling our team.
The role
Our main product is an AI roleplay platform for adults. Keeping it safe at this scale depends on our own moderation models, and those models are only as good as the data they’re trained on. Our goal is to catch harmful content automatically, with measured precision and recall on every policy, and high-quality labelled data is the biggest bottleneck to getting there.
You’ll own the function that solves that. Working with our Head of Trust & Safety and the AI engineers building our moderation models, you’ll turn safety policy into clear labelling guidelines, run our contracted labelling team day to day, and measurably improve the quality of the data they produce. You’ll also own our day-to-day trust and safety operations.
You will own:
Turning policy into labelled data. Translate safety policy and model requirements into labelling tasks and guidelines that contractors apply consistently. Make the final call on disputed labels, document your decisions, and build and maintain the gold sets our models are measured against.
The labelling team. Run our contracted labellers day to day: onboarding, answering questions and giving feedback. QA their work, track accuracy, agreement and efficiency, and feed what you learn back into policy and our automated moderation.
Trust and safety operations. Manage the daily queues of user reports, flagged accounts, ban appeals and moderator escalations. Escalate serious violations through the right channels and keep accurate records of every decision.
Making it all run better. Find the manual work that slows the team down, then fix or automate it.
What we’re looking for
You’ve come up through content moderation or data annotation, and now you run the operation: the team, the guidelines and the quality. You still do the work yourself, and you want to own the whole function.
Labelling and moderation leadership. 3+ years in content moderation or data annotation operations, including leading a team of 10+ labellers or moderators against quality targets.
Quality you can measure. You’ve built gold sets, tracked accuracy and agreement, and can point to a quality metric you owned and improved.
Policy into guidelines. You can turn high-level policy into clear rules and edge-case examples, and you’ve written or maintained guidelines that others use every day.
Model and product awareness. You understand how labelled data is used to train models, and you can work with product and engineering to design labelling schemas that get the best results.
Hands-on ownership. You make decisions without waiting for sign-off, and you lead contractors through credibility rather than formal authority.
Comfort with the content. You can work with sexually explicit and sometimes distressing material day to day and stay clear-headed and pragmatic.
Experience reviewing explicit or high-risk content is strongly preferred, and it’s a big plus if you understand child-safety escalation, evidence handling and reporting obligations. Basic SQL and some coding experience help too, even if most of your building is done with AI coding tools like Claude Code.
How we work
We work together in person in North Sydney, because things change fast and the best decisions happen in the room. We prioritise ruthlessly, test ideas in a day rather than planning them for weeks, and keep meetings and approvals to a minimum.
We think of ourselves as a competitive sports team with a real shot at winning. That means a high-intensity environment, and it’s built for people who want exactly that.
What you’ll get
Above-market pay. We reward exceptional people with above-market salaries and meaningful equity.
Fast reward for impact. Compensation is reviewed every six months, with raises and bonuses tied to what you deliver, not your title.
Growth without management. Your scope, influence and pay can keep growing while you stay hands-on.
All meals covered. Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, plus stocked fridges.
A company card and unlimited workspace budget. For food, coffee, software, AI tools, equipment and the setup you need to do your best work.
A great office. Dog-friendly, in North Sydney, with a big balcony for working outdoors.
Optional team socials. Gym sessions, running, swimming, escape rooms and more.
Visa sponsorship and relocation support. If required.
