Vets Now Hull are welcoming applications from Out of Hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join their team on a full-time or part-time basis. Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency veterinary care, with a nationwide network of out of hours clinics and 24/7 emergency hospitals. As part of Inspiring Vet Care, our teams make a difference to pets and their owners when they need us most.

We can offer a £10,000 Recognition Bonus pro rata and up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance.

Now for work-life balance

We appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all, so we’re open to part-time and flexible working patterns to suit your individual circumstances. Whether you’re looking to balance work with other commitments or simply want greater flexibility in your working week, we’re happy to have a conversation about what could work for you.

For those looking for a full-time role, this consists of an average of 40 hours per week, typically across three shifts per week, including a 1:2 weekend rota with a mix of nights and days.

Whatever your circumstances, we’d love to explore how we can make a role at Vets Now Hull work for you.

Now For Enhanced Rewards And Benefits

Our exceptional benefits package includes, but is not limited to:

  • £1,500 CPD allowance plus 35 paid hours pro rata
  • Enhanced company sick, maternity, paternity and adoption pay schemes
  • Private medical insurance
  • Seven weeks pro rata annual leave
  • Up to 50% discounted staff pet care
  • Professional membership fees

Now for development and on-going coaching

Working in an emergency setting will sharpen and develop your veterinary skills. We invest heavily in the continuous professional development of all our people, and, as a Vet Surgeon, you will have access to professional qualifications, progression opportunities and on-going coaching from Senior Vet Susana.

You’ll also benefit from working alongside an exceptionally experienced nursing team, with several nurses having been with Vets Now for 15 and 20 years, and all nurses holding ECC certificates.

Now for innovation

Our AdvantEdge programme includes a one-week hands-on practical training, followed by 20 hours of flexible case-based e-learning completed at your pace. This blended approach is designed to help you start your career at Vets Now with confidence.
