Position Overview
A large-scale hospitality organization is seeking an experienced Vice President / Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management with resort or hotel experience to lead its end-to-end supply chain operations, including purchasing, strategic sourcing, materials and inventory control, logistics, distribution, and vendor management.
This executive leadership role oversees a complex, high-volume operation supporting thousands of guest rooms, multiple food and beverage outlets, and extensive resort facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening service levels and product availability, optimizing costs and inventory, developing strategic supplier relationships, and advancing supply chain technology and processes.
The role requires relocation to The Bahamas and an on-site presence for approximately the first 12–18 months. Relocation assistance and a housing allowance are available for candidates open to the move.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening service levels and product availability, optimizing costs and inventory, developing strategic supplier relationships, and advancing supply chain technology and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for purchasing, sourcing, inventory control, logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Lead and develop a supply chain organization of approximately 45 team members across purchasing and warehouse/distribution functions, while overseeing key external logistics partnerships.
- Establish clear organizational structures, performance expectations, and accountability across the supply chain function.
- Build strong partnerships with operational and administrative leaders to improve product availability, responsiveness, and internal service levels.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives focused on product quality, availability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Oversee complex domestic and international sourcing and logistics, including fresh, perishable, specialty, and imported products.
- Manage import/export activities and relationships with customs authorities, customs brokers, logistics providers, and other external partners.
- Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships, evaluate supplier performance, review competitive bids, and support contract award decisions.
- Identify new suppliers, products, technologies, and sourcing opportunities that enhance operational performance.
- Ensure purchasing and supply chain activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Establish, monitor, and improve supply chain KPIs, including fill ratios, purchasing performance, inventory levels, product availability, and service-level delivery.
- Partner closely with Food & Beverage and other operating departments to address fulfillment challenges and ensure timely availability of critical products.
- Oversee inventory replenishment and distribution while driving reductions in inventory variance, spoilage, excess stock, and avoidable costs.
- Review departmental spending against plans and budgets, identify variances, and recommend opportunities for savings and operational improvement.
- Ensure the integrity and effective use of purchasing, inventory, and ERP systems and lead supply chain technology modernization and system adoption initiatives.
- Support environmentally responsible sourcing and supply chain practices, including sustainability initiatives appropriate to large-scale hospitality operations.
- Develop supply chain budgets, reporting, and performance standards to support executive decision-making.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supply chain leaders and team members while building a high-performance, service-oriented culture.
- Lead special projects and broader supply chain transformation initiatives as business needs evolve.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Must have prior resort or hotel industry experience; international hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain management experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated success leading multifunctional teams across procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and distribution.
- Experience supporting large-scale, complex operations; hospitality, resort, gaming, food and beverage, or similarly high-volume environments strongly valued.
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, vendor relationship management, and cost optimization.
- Experience managing international sourcing, imports/exports, customs requirements, tariffs, and complex logistics networks.
- Knowledge of fresh and perishable goods supply chains and the service-level requirements associated with high-volume hospitality or food and beverage operations.
- Demonstrated ability to establish meaningful KPIs and improve product availability, fill rates, inventory performance, and internal customer service.
- Experience with ERP and purchasing/inventory management systems, including involvement in system implementations, migrations, or modernization initiatives.
- Strong executive leadership, communication, relationship-building, and organizational development capabilities.
- Ability and willingness to relocate to The Bahamas and maintain an on-site presence for approximately the first 12–18 months.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- International hospitality experience.
- Professional supply chain certification such as CPIM, CSCP, CPM, or a comparable credential.
- Oracle experience.
- Experience overseeing supply chain operations for large-scale resorts, gaming properties, multi-property hospitality organizations, or similarly complex operations.
- Experience leading ERP transformation or significant supply chain technology initiatives.
- Familiarity with sustainability and environmentally responsible sourcing initiatives within hospitality or related industries.
