As a Wheel Repair Technician, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality wheel restoration, tyre fitting, and CNC machining services while maintaining premium workshop standards for an established Australian automotive group. Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you'll play a key role in ensuring wheels are returned in exceptional, showroom-ready condition. This role comes with genuine relocation support for the right New Zealand-based candidate — Kiwis can work in Australia immediately on arrival, with no visa sponsorship or waiting period required.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, assess, and repair alloy wheels including scratches, kerb damage, bends, cracks, and cosmetic imperfections
• Operate a CNC lathe for diamond-cut machining and refinishing
• Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and wheel alignment
• Carry out wheel refinishing, polishing, straightening, and restoration work to a high standard
• Ensure all repairs meet premium workshop quality standards
• Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate repair requirements with the workshop team
• Work efficiently to meet repair timelines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
• Collaborate with technicians and service teams to support a seamless customer experience

About you

You'll bring:

• Proven experience in wheel repair, alloy wheel restoration, tyre fitting, or CNC/lathe machining
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Experience working with automotive finishes, repair techniques, and workshop equipment
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a professional approach
