What you will do
You will help transform our world‑leading Gii technology into components that can be manufactured at scale. Working across the full product lifecycle, you could be contributing to product design, prototyping, process development, equipment installation, optimisation and continuous improvement. This may involve:
- Developing, refining and validating processes for scalable production of Gii‑based components
- Supporting product development across sensing, diagnostic, energy and other flexible electronics applications
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to translate R&D concepts into scalable product solutions
- Designing, executing and analysing experiments to optimise performance, quality and reliability
- Troubleshooting and improving processes to achieve repeatability, robustness and cost‑effective manufacturing
- Taking a hands‑on approach to problem solving, prototyping and process implementation
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for individuals with experience in product development, process engineering or advanced manufacturing, engineers who love solving technical challenges, improving how things work, and building sustainable, scalable solutions. Experience that spans disciplines is of particular interest.
You may come from backgrounds such as materials engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, product design engineering, electronics, or a related field. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is essential, and we love to see a growth mindset, critical thinking and curiosity that drives continuous learning.
You’ll bring enthusiasm for working across multidisciplinary teams, engaging with complex technical challenges and contributing to products that sit at the cutting edge of science and engineering. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and we are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in electrochemical biosensor development, flexible PCBs or electronics, supercapacitors, IoT solutions in healthcare or energy storage, or energy‑harvesting technologies for low‑power devices.

We are based in Stirling in central Scotland, a city with rich historical significance. As well as being historic, Stirling is in a great position for quick access to Edinburgh and Glasgow by public transport. It also has easy to access to the Highlands and rural Scotland.
