What you will do


You will help accelerate the development of our world leading Gii technology, our proprietary 3D porous pure carbon material, by contributing to cutting-edge research, designing experiments, advancing new applications, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to solve complex scientific challenges. This may include:

  • Developing and optimising electrochemical sensors and next generation diagnostic solutions
  • Exploring Gii integration in applications such as heavy metal sensing, flexible electronics, supercapacitors, or IoT platforms
  • Designing and executing experiments that deepen our understanding of Gii and expand its application landscape
  • Working closely with colleagues across science, engineering, technical and product teams to translate research into real world solutions
  • Bringing creativity, rigour and a solutions focused mindset to every stage of development.



Who we are looking for

We’re looking for individuals with hands on experience in product development, scientists and engineers who are excited by solving hard problems in the laboratory, exploring new ideas and advancing next generation materials and devices.

You may come from disciplines such as chemistry, materials science, electrochemistry, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field. A relevant degree as well as industry experience is highly valuable, and we love to see evidence of a growth mindset, curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.


You’ll bring enthusiasm for working in a fast moving R&D environment, collaborating with diverse specialists, and contributing to innovations that sit at the cutting edge of science and technology.

We are particularly keen to hear from scientists with academic or industrial experience in electrochemical biosensor development, heavy-metal sensing for environmental applications, IoT solutions in healthcare or energy storage, energy harvesting technologies for low power devices, flexible PCBs or electronics, or bioassay reagents development.

Where we are

We are based in Stirling in central Scotland, a city with rich historical significance. As well as being historic, Stirling is in a great position for quick access to Edinburgh and Glasgow by public transport. It also has easy to access to the Highlands and rural Scotland.
