About the Position

We are seeking an SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Consultant specializing in Materials Management (MM), with a focus on Sourcing and Procurement and Inventory Management.

The professional will be responsible for configuring, implementing, supporting, and continuously improving procurement and inventory processes using SAP standard capabilities, ensuring alignment with business requirements, SAP Best Practices, and Public Edition architectural principles.

The position requires approximately 4–5 years of relevant SAP MM experience, acquired through implementation projects or Application Management Services (AMS) engagements, together with hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other SAP functional areas to maintain end-to-end process consistency, resolve functional issues, and support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, and support procurement and inventory management processes in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, goods movements, stock transfers, physical inventory, and supplier invoice verification.
• Analyze business requirements and participate in fit-to-standard workshops, aligning functional solutions with SAP Best Practices and applicable Public Edition scope items.
• Maintain system configuration using SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) and available configuration activities, respecting Public Edition extensibility limitations and clean-core principles.
• Support material/product master data, supplier business partner records, purchasing info records, source determination, purchasing conditions, and procurement approval workflows.
• Prepare functional specifications for approved enhancements and integrations, process documentation, configuration records, test scripts, and knowledge articles.
• Execute functional unit and integration testing, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and perform regression testing for system changes and cloud releases.
• Investigate incidents and service requests, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with technical teams and SAP Support.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation, monitor incident progress, and comply with agreed response and resolution Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Collaborate with SAP FI, CO, SD, LE, SCM, EWM, and TM teams to resolve cross-functional issues and maintain end-to-end business process consistency.
• Communicate functional solutions, technical findings, and process improvements to business stakeholders and support user training activities.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5 years of hands-on SAP Materials Management (MM) experience, including relevant SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Proven experience in SAP implementation projects or Application Management Services (AMS) engagements; either experience path is acceptable.
• Hands-on experience configuring or supporting SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition procurement and inventory management processes.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition or Private Edition, relevant to Materials Management or Sourcing and Procurement.
• Strong functional understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Experience with purchasing master data, procurement processes, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of material valuation, account determination, and Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV).
• Working knowledge of SAP Best Practices, Public Edition scope items, and fit-to-standard principles.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications and SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC).
• Understanding of integration between SAP MM and Finance, including troubleshooting purchasing, goods movement, and invoice-related accounting postings.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, prepare functional specifications, develop test cases, and systematically troubleshoot functional issues.
• For AMS assignments, experience with ticketing tools, incident prioritization, escalation procedures, and compliance with agreed service-level targets.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written, for stakeholder discussions, documentation, and user training.

Preferred Requirements

• SAP certification specifically in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, rather than Private Edition.
• Experience combining SAP implementation delivery and AMS support, including continuous improvement activities.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and SAP Cloud ALM for implementation, testing, or application operations.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and procurement or inventory master data migration.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, or procurement integration scenarios.
• Exposure to SAP Quality Management (QM), Warehouse Management / EWM, Manufacturing, or Sales integration.
• Knowledge of flexible workflows, procurement analytics, and SAP Fiori business roles and authorizations.
• Understanding of released APIs, communication arrangements, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and permitted Public Edition extensibility options.
• Experience assessing SAP cloud release changes and supporting regression test automation.
