About LangGenius and Dify

LangGenius is the company behind Dify, an open-source platform for building AI applications and workflows. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, with teams in Tokyo, Suzhou, and Shanghai, we help developers and enterprises turn AI ideas into applications and processes that can be used and operated in the real world.

Our mission is to build the most loved open-source platform and create new ways for AI, people, data, and tools to work together. Through Dify’s open-source offering and Dify Enterprise, we support organizations in moving AI beyond experimentation and into everyday operations.

Dify is used by developers in 175 countries, runs on more than 1.4 million machines, has earned over 130,000 GitHub stars, and is used by more than 280 enterprises, including Maersk, ETS, Anker, and Novartis.

Our Japan team drives the adoption of Dify in partnership with local customers and service partners, while bringing market needs and insights back to our global product team.

About the Role

We are looking for Business Development professionals to help grow Dify’s presence in Japan. You will work closely with service partners and enterprise customers, supporting opportunities from initial inquiry through proposal, close, and renewal.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems, and creating processes in a fast-changing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to inquiries from service partners and support opportunity management and closing.
  • Engage with inbound inquiries and new leads, develop opportunities, and deliver proposals.
  • Understand enterprise customers’ needs and recommend suitable licensing and deployment plans.
  • Plan, run, and follow up on joint webinars and events.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage the process from contract execution through license delivery.
  • Gather market trends and customer feedback and share insights with global teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 3 or more years of experience in at least one of the following:
  • Enterprise solution sales, including customer discovery, requirements gathering, proposals, and quotations.
  • Business planning or business development, including planning and executing new business initiatives or partnerships, or supporting their execution.
  • Consulting, including problem definition, recommendations, and implementation support.
  • Native-level Japanese or equivalent proficiency.
  • Experience working with SIers, resellers, agencies, or alliance partners, and an understanding of partner business.
  • Foundational knowledge of SaaS, cloud, and generative AI, with a willingness to learn and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Ability to create clear proposals, quotations, and business documents.
  • Ability to build and execute processes in areas where structures are still evolving.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to understand different perspectives and drive work through to completion.

Nice to Have

  • Partner sales experience at an SIer, cloud provider, or middleware vendor.
  • Experience navigating enterprise proposal and internal approval processes.
  • English reading, writing, and conversation skills.
  • Language skills beyond English, such as Chinese or Korean.
  • Experience planning or operating webinars, conferences, or other events.

How We Work

We believe small teams can create meaningful impact when they think deeply, use effective tools, and collaborate clearly. Our values include:

  • Simple & Sincere: Communicate openly and address important issues directly.
  • Hands-on: Build, test, learn, and share.
  • Explore the Edge: Challenge existing approaches and explore new ideas.
  • Ask Why to Bedrock: Understand underlying causes and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Honor Your Commitments: Take responsibility for outcomes and build trust.

We encourage cross-functional collaboration, AI-native ways of working, and clear communication across regions.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary starting at JPY 7,000,000, depending on experience and skills.
  • Bonus based on company performance.
  • Hybrid work arrangement; remote work is available depending on business needs. Fully remote work is not available.
  • Flextime, with core hours from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Three-month probationary period.
