1st Line Support Engineer / Hybrid (2 Days P/W Wakefield)
MSPs don't have the best rep.
- Unrealistic SLAs with their clients
- Treat staff like "Just another number"
- & Any joy between the team is hammered into submission by automated diallers and poor processes.
Not here.
We're working with one of the best small MSP's in the North of England.
- Family ran, by people who have built a business that they would want to work for and where clients love to work with.
- A small team, who are technically strong, and don't take themselves too seriously.
- They have their own IP. A bespoke software for client management, which has thousands of users from SMEs through to Enterprise brands (Some you'll definitely know of!)
- Flexible working: Typically the team do 2 days in the Wakefield office with the rest working from home. The main priority is happy customers, not clock watching.
Here's what you'll need to be considered:
- Experience working in IT Support / Helpdesk (1st Line), Bonus points if it's an MSP.
- Experience supporting Microsoft estates (365, Intune, Entra etc)
- Have "a bit about you", be friendly and confident in speaking with stakeholders / customers.
Some of this would be nice, but not essential:
- Experience supporting either/or Mac / Google Workspace
- Any exposure to Networking / or Server work
These guys don't turnover staff. People join, they're looked after and they stay. Which is as good as any testimonial.
Their clients actively (without being coerced!), give them fantastic testimonials for their work.
Honestly, if you're in 1st line support, this is likely to be a better job than the one you're doing now.
It's Hybrid (2 Days per week in Wakefield) - For the first few months this will be around 3-4 days just to get your feet under the table and get to know the customers/team etc.
£28,000 starting salary.
