Role Description This full-time hybrid role is based in Brisbane, QLD, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. The 3D Concrete Printer Operator will set up, calibrate, and operate 3D concrete printing equipment to produce structural and architectural elements according to project specifications. Responsibilities include preparing concrete mixes, monitoring print quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation. The operator will collaborate with design, engineering, and site teams to interpret drawings, adjust print parameters, and support installation and finishing activities. The role also involves adhering to safety standards, documenting production data, and contributing to continuous improvement of printing processes and workflows.

- Experience with formwork and flatwork, including setting up molds, preparing surfaces, and supporting concrete placement and finishing.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a construction or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ready mix concrete properties, mix preparation, and quality control for consistent print performance.
- Carpentry skills for building and adjusting support structures, temporary works, and printer-related fixtures.
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated or CNC-style equipment.
- Understanding of construction drawings, dimensions, and tolerances, with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, including use of PPE and adherence to site procedures.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid setting.
- Prior experience in concrete construction, precast, or additive manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Relevant trade qualification or certificate in construction, carpentry, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
