#50186 Photoshop Specialist – Image Processing & Masking
Mindy SupportWe are looking for a skilled Photoshop Specialist to execute high-precision, single-task manual image editing and pixel-perfect masking. In this role, you will work on targeted image modifications while ensuring complete preservation of surrounding elements and strict compliance with visual quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
-
Targeted Image Edits: Perform precise manual modifications such as adding, removing, or replacing objects; changing colors, textures, and materials; swapping backgrounds; editing text; or applying overall style adjustments based on given instructions.
-
Content Preservation: Keep all non-target elements intact, including background details, surrounding objects, layout, perspective, scale, lighting, grain, and scene structure.
-
Masking & Placement Guides: Create and apply 8-bit grayscale PNG edit masks (white = edit area, black = preserved area) and precise placement guides. Ensure local edit regions cover at least 0.88% of the total image area (e.g., minimum 48x48 px on a 512x512 canvas).
-
Deliverables & Metadata: Provide clean, full-resolution files (PNG/TIFF) matching source dimensions. Fill in required metadata fields (Task ID, source/output IDs, editor ID, licensing status, provenance, timestamp).
-
Escalation Handling: Identify and report ambiguous instructions, missing assets, policy issues, or infeasible requirements immediately.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Strict No-AI Rule: Zero use of AI tools, Generative Fill, AI inpainting, neural filters, auto-segmentation, or AI-generated metadata. All edits must be 100% manual.
-
Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Nuke, or equivalent professional image-editing software. Strong grasp of layer management, non-destructive editing, perspective matching, and color grading.
-
Attention to Detail: Ability to integrate edits seamlessly without introducing seams, halos, distorted geometry, repeated patterns, or lighting mismatches.
Package & Deliverables
-
Final Images: Full-resolution PNG or TIFF files matching original dimensions.
-
Mask Assets: 8-bit grayscale PNG edit masks and placement guides (when required).
-
Source Files: Layered PSD or Nuke scripts (upon audit request).
-
Recruiter Intro Call : A quick, friendly chat to get to know the candidate, check their English skills (B2+ level requirement), discuss shift availability (8/23), walk through the project scope, and confirm our strict No-AI policy.
-
Technical Assessment: A short practical test where candidates showcase their hands-on skills in manual editing, 8-bit PNG mask creation, and clean PSD/Nuke layer structure.
-
Onboarding & Project Launch: Signing the independent contractor agreement, sharing project guides and documentation, and getting the candidate ready to take on their first tasks under initial QA support.
