Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to help launch a new delivery program in the local market by recruiting small and medium-sized businesses to join a hub-based delivery partner network. You will work closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors to identify prospective businesses, pitch the program, guide them through the application process, and support community-based recruitment events. The position is highly field-focused, requires regular travel within a two-hour driving radius, and offers uncapped commission based on the number of partners you successfully convert.

Responsibilities

  • Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance.
  • Present and pitch the new delivery program opportunity to local businesses and generate strong interest in applying.
  • Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them step by step through the application process.
  • Lead and track sales activity in Salesforce, maintaining an organized and up-to-date pipeline of prospects and applicants.
  • Support the Field Manager in planning and hosting community recruitment events such as lunch-and-learns and town hall meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Field Manager to engage local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and program awareness.
  • Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners, answering questions and addressing concerns throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Proactively drive referrals through community organizations and business networks to expand the pool of potential partners.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and urgency in all interactions, representing the program positively in the local community.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues faced by applicants in the field, helping them complete requirements and move toward launch readiness.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in an outbound sales role, preferably in door-to-door or field sales.
  • Experience working with a CRM system, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Proven background in sales, account management, recruiting, or customer service.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with local business owners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and accurately track activity in CRM tools.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to solve problems for applicants in real time while in the field.
  • Comfort working with multiple systems and technology, including Excel and online applications.
  • Ability to travel up to four hours round trip on a daily basis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior field sales experience is a plus.
  • Previous roles that involved sales and/or negotiation with customers are highly beneficial.
  • High level of professionalism and enthusiasm for working with others in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership in driving results and meeting goals.
  • Tech-savvy mindset, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new tools and platforms.
  • Interest in building partnerships and relationships within the local community.

Work Environment

This is a primarily field-based role located in or around Omaha, Nebraska or Columbus, Nebraska. You will spend approximately four days per week in the field visiting local businesses and attending community events, and one day per week working from home to complete administrative tasks and follow-ups. The position requires daily travel within a roughly two-hour driving radius, with mileage reimbursement provided. You will use tools such as Salesforce and Excel regularly, along with a mobile phone and laptop to manage communications and data entry. The work involves frequent face-to-face interactions with business owners and community partners, so professional, presentable attire suitable for business visits and community events is expected.
