We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Account Manager to join our Sales team.

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of existing customers, protecting recurring revenue and identifying opportunities for growth across the Lloyd’s List Intelligence portfolio. This will include subscription renewals, price and contract discussions, customer retention, cross-selling, upselling and developing relationships with new stakeholders within assigned accounts.

The successful candidate will take a consultative, value-led approach to account management. They will work to understand each customer’s strategic priorities, operational challenges and intelligence requirements, positioning relevant Lloyd’s List Intelligence solutions to deliver measurable business value.

This role is suited to an experienced sales or account management professional who can manage complex customer relationships, develop strategic account plans and consistently deliver against revenue targets. Previous maritime experience would be welcomed, but applications are also encouraged from candidates with experience in related data, information services, SaaS, compliance, financial services, insurance, commodities or other subscription-based industries.

What we are looking for

  • Five years or more of experience in B2B sales or account management.

  • A proven record of retaining and growing customer accounts and delivering against revenue targets.

  • Experience managing renewals, commercial negotiations and complex sales opportunities.

  • Strong relationship-building, discovery and consultative-selling skills.

  • Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and presenting commercial proposals.

  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.

  • Strong organisation, forecasting and pipeline-management skills.

  • A proactive, resilient and commercially focused approach.

Desirable experience

  • Experience within maritime, shipping or international trade is welcomed.

  • Experience selling data, analytics, SaaS, business intelligence or subscription-based services.

  • Knowledge of sectors such as insurance, commodities, trade finance, compliance, government, ports or logistics.

  • Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN or Challenger.
