Accountant

Role Description This part-time remote Accountant role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial and accounting activities to support Dissoltex Indústria Química Ltda.’s operations. Key tasks include recording and reconciling financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts. The Accountant will assist with accounts payable and receivable, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and help prepare financial statements and management reports. The role also includes monitoring budgets, supporting tax and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide clear financial insights and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting; experience with month-end and year-end close processes is preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets; ability to work with digital tools in a remote environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing documentation for audits and compliance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, operations, and management teams remotely.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule.
• Understanding of tax, regulatory, and compliance requirements; experience in manufacturing or chemical industry is an advantage.
• Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are a plus.
