JL Closets, South Florida’s leader in high-end custom storage solutions, is looking for an Accounting & Payroll Manager to oversee our accounting and payroll operations and lead our remote team.

This isn’t your typical back-office role—you’ll be a key part of our leadership structure, helping us maintain accurate accounting records, manage payroll, improve internal systems, and provide financial information that supports strategic growth. If you're experienced in accounting and payroll, passionate about people and processes, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of daily accounting and payroll operations—ensuring everything is accurate, timely, and compliant
• Manage payroll processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, and overall bookkeeping
• Lead and mentor two bookkeepers in Argentina, setting clear expectations and reviewing deliverables
• Prepare monthly financial reports with actionable insights for leadership
• Track budgets and cash flow to support smarter business decisions
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper accounting procedures and controls
• Partner with external accountants on tax filings, audits, and year-end processes
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
• Review payroll records and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Identify and implement improvements in accounting, payroll, financial workflows, systems, and team processes
• Establish efficient procedures and accountability standards across the accounting and payroll functions

What You Bring

• 15+ years of accounting or finance experience, with a strong track record in leadership
• Strong experience managing payroll and accounting operations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting tools
• Expertise in reconciliations, bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance
• Experience managing remote teams and working independently
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• A sharp eye for detail, strong organizational habits, and a proactive mindset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A leadership approach that balances accountability with coaching and team development
• Ability to take ownership and consistently follow through
