𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: Actuarial Consultant

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: South Africa (Remote)

We are partnering with a leading international insurance and financial services organization to recruit an Actuarial Consultant / Senior Actuarial Consultant to join their dynamic valuation and reporting team.

This role offers exposure to both local and international operations, including Bermuda and Cayman business, while working on complex actuarial valuation and reporting projects.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

• Support quarterly Cash Flow Testing (CFT) valuation processes, including model enhancements and assumption updates.
• Prepare and report Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) Best Estimate Liability (BEL) results across both U.S. and offshore business lines.
• Assist with actuarial valuation, financial reporting, and analysis activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing valuation and reporting processes.
• Support data analysis, model development, and reporting initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across actuarial, finance, and risk functions.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

• 2+ years of actuarial experience.
• Progress toward ASA qualification or recently qualified ASA.
• Exposure to life insurance and/or annuity products would be advantageous.
• Strong technical skills with experience in Python, R, SQL, and/or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
