About the Team

The Business Intelligence team sits within Corporate Strategy and plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across Mediaocean.

We own and manage the company's centralized data warehouse and BI infrastructure, integrating data across multiple business systems to deliver advanced analytics and actionable insights. Partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, we support strategic initiatives, financial and operational performance analysis, and the development of AI-powered analytics capabilities.

We are transforming our BI function from reactive reporting to proactive, AI-driven intelligence, and this role will be central to making that vision a reality.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly technical AI Engineer to help manage and expand our robust enterprise data infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on AI-powered analytics for data enhancement, automation, and self-service analytics.

This is a hands-on role implementing AI-driven solutions and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake Cortex, Anthropic Claude, and other large language model (LLM) platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in data engineering and advanced AI/LLM integration, and will partner with existing team members to help build the foundation for the next generation of proactive, AI-enabled business intelligence.

The Impact You'll Make:

AI & Advanced Analytics

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered analytics solutions using Snowflake Cortex, Anthropic Claude, or equivalent LLM platforms.

• Build AI agents and automation workflows with agentic orchestration frameworks and structured tool-calling, focusing on data cleanup, entity matching, automated analysis, and proactive alerting

• Build natural-language query interfaces and maintain underlying semantic models that enable accurate, governed self-service querying of enterprise data.

• Develop AI-powered monitoring systems to identify anomalies, emerging trends, and meaningful shifts in business performance across large datasets.

• Establish testing, monitoring, and validation processes to ensure AI-generated insights are accurate, reliable, secure, and grounded in trusted enterprise data.

• Proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI to reduce manual analysis, improve efficiency, and enable more proactive decision-making.

Data Warehouse & Architecture

• Help maintain and optimize our robust Snowflake data warehouse, including database structures, schemas, data models, and transformations.

• Optimize SQL queries, warehouse performance, and resource utilization.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across the BI ecosystem.

• Develop and maintain automated data workflows and integrations, where needed.

Data Governance & Security

• Implement and maintain data access controls, role-based permissions, row-level security, and governance policies within Snowflake and downstream BI tools.

• Ensure appropriate data security, integrity, and consistency across reporting and AI-powered applications.

• Establish and maintain documentation of data models, pipelines, integrations, and AI solutions.

What You'll Bring to Us:

• Hands-on experience developing AI/LLM-powered solutions using Snowflake Cortex, Anthropic Claude APIs, or equivalent technologies, including building AI agents, LLM powered applications or automated analytical workflows.

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, database development, or a related technical role.

• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, database administration, and access controls.

• Experience with Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, or other data integration and automation technologies.

• Strong understanding of data governance, security, access controls, and data quality best practices.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.

• Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in a small, high-impact team with direct visibility to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing ML and AI-powered anomaly detection, monitoring, or proactive alerting systems.

• Familiarity with BI platforms such as Sisense or Amazon QuickSight.

• Experience working with advertising technology, media, or SaaS data, including impressions, revenue, and campaign performance.

• Experience building and managing semantic layers or metric stores (e.g., dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, Snowflake Semantic Layer) to govern business logic for downstream applications.
