XDevOps builds an AI-assisted platform that helps DevOps and SRE teams work across cloud and on-premises environments.

We’re looking for an AI engineer who enjoys building practical systems, developing models and turning ideas into working software.

What you’ll work on:

• AI agents, tool use and integrations.
• Developing and adapting small language models for specific tasks.
• Model training, fine-tuning and evaluation.
• Reliability, performance, efficiency and security of AI systems.
• Collaboration with our engineering team to improve the platform.

What we’re looking for:

• Practical experience with LLMs and AI agents.
• Experience training or fine-tuning language models, including preparing datasets and evaluating results.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with PyTorch, Hugging Face or comparable model tooling.
• Experience integrating APIs and familiarity with MCP or agent frameworks.
• An understanding of AI security, including prompt injection and safe handling of data.
• The ability to explain your technical choices, test your work and learn from results.

Experience with small language models, distillation, quantization or DevOps/cloud environments is a plus.

A degree is not required. We value hands-on experience, sound engineering judgment and projects you can explain.
