This is an exciting, immediate path to launching your career as an AI Engineer. We are specifically seeking military veterans residing in Utah and Idaho for this paid, remote, 1-year apprenticeship program. You’ll learn modern full-stack web development and how to build with AI, integrate AI into real applications, and run open-source AI models on local hardware—gaining hands-on experience through structured training and real projects.

You’ll contribute to the full software development lifecycle—designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications—while specializing in AI:

• Analyze requirements and design systems that incorporate AI capabilities
• Write clean, documented code and perform unit testing
• Implement, support, and secure applications that use AI
• Build AI features into web applications (chat interfaces, intelligent search, content generation, recommendation systems, etc.)
• Run and experiment with open-source AI models on local hardware
• Integrate AI services and local models into production-ready full-stack applications

Structured technical instruction includes:

• Web development foundations (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap)
• Core programming with Microsoft C# .NET
• Front-end development with React.js
• Database fundamentals (SQL)
• Cloud platforms
• DevOps practices
• AI Engineering focus: Prompt engineering, working with LLMs, integrating AI APIs, running open-source models locally, building AI features into applications, and practical patterns for AI-powered software

• Role Type: Remote Full-time
• Eligible Locations: Utah & Idaho Residents Only
• Program Duration: 1 year (2,000 On-the-Job Learning hours + 144 Related Instruction hours)
• Probationary Period: 480 hours (3 months)
• Progressive Wage:
• 1st 1,000 hours: $7.25/hr
• 2nd 1,000 hours: $10.00/hr

• Former U.S. Military Veterans or Transitioning Service Members
• Residents of Utah or Idaho
• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong passion for technology, problem-solving, continuous learning, and building with AI
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection
